She went on to become a surface pattern designer for two years. Moving to London, she worked as the art director for a well-known fashion company, working with top photographers in the UK and at overseas locations in Europe and the USA.
In the mid-nineties she took the decision to following her own path and set up an art and design business and concentrated on producing well-designed images of distinction for the Giftware industry. This culminated in winning the prestigious ‘Gift of the Year’ award from the Giftware Association at the Royal College of Art. Wendy also achieved runner up position over the next two year.
She now licenses her artwork around the World and is used on a large array of products such as greeting cards, mugs, calendars, posters, home furnishings. Her licensing in the USA has been very successful..
